Cinnamon Bread Maker Recipes so Good You Have to Try
There is little more delicious than a slice of cinnamon bread with your first cup of coffee or tea. While this is a sweet bread, you can adjust the amount of sugar in these recipes to suit your palate.
The best bread makers for these will typically allow you to interrupt the cycle in order to check of doneness.
Use a toothpick or a clean knife, inserting it in the center of the loaf.

While your batter is mixing for three minutes, combine the butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of your batter, using a knife to incise a swirl pattern that will present as marbling in the finished bread crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes. Remove your bread from the pan and cool completely before slicing.
Bitter Chocolate Cinnamon Bread
This is one of those breads that is deceptively addictive. The bitter chocolate and cinnamon invoke the essence of Mexican chocolate, while the bread has enough sweetness to it that it all melds together in seamless harmony.
The best bread machine for this recipe and many that involve chocolate without stabilizers will have a relatively shallow baking dish.
This allows for even cooking. Just read your bread machine reviews and see which models offer the broad dishes rather than deep, pail-like baking containers.
- 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 c bitter baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 2 large
- ½ c light brown sugar
- ¼ c white sugar
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1/3 c canola oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Swirl (separate!)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
- ½ c white sugar
In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients—flour, soda, salt, and chocolate—mixing together well. Then, in a medium bowl, whisk the egg together with the white and brown sugar, making sure you have no lumps of brown sugar left. Next, add the buttermilk, oil, and vanilla.
Add the wet to the dry, mixing gently, but not too much. Your bread will be tough if you overmix the batter. Once this is done, pour half the batter into your baking pan, and sprinkle with most of the spice-sugar mix, reserving some for the top.
Bake 350 for 55 minutes. Allow your bread to cool completely in the pan before you remove it.
